Cape Coral Parks & Recreation

The Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department provides a wide variety of services for citizens and visitors throughout the City of Cape Coral. Consisting of more than 37 locations, the Department features waterfront parks, playgrounds, athletic complexes, community centers, environmental facilities, tennis and basketball courts, a youth center and skate park, a fine arts studio, indoor gymnasium, boat ramps, a full scale water park (Sun Splash Family Waterpark) and Coral Oaks Golf Course, Cape Coral's premier public Golf Course.

The mission of the Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department is to provide a wide range of recreational programs for individuals of various ages, skill levels, interests, social needs and economic capabilities that collectively enhance the overall quality of life within the City of Cape Coral. As such, a diverse selection of programs, classes, and special events are offered at the various parks and recreational facilities throughout the year. Some program examples include Summer Camps, educational and instructional arts and humanities courses, environmental and horticultural classes, health and fitness programs, day trips, dance classes, youth and adult athletics, and swim lessons. Many special events are produced every year as well, both by the Department, and in cooperation with community partners. Some of the larger events include the Burrowing Owl Festival, Cape Bike Nights, and Coconut Festival, Cape Coral's signature event.
