Cape Christian at 30: A story of faith, persistence, and growth

This weekend, Cape Christian will celebrate its 30th anniversary.

To commemorate the occasion, the church is set to host a weekend carnival on their campus on Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, and Sunday from 1:00pm to 9:00pm.

During the weekend there will be rides, games, activities, and more for the entire family to enjoy.

The event is part of a weekend-long celebration to honor the church and those who worked to create one of the leading churches not only in Cape Coral but, Southwest Florida.

Mayor Sawicki to host 'Night Out' town hall meeting April 19

Mayor Marni Sawicki will host her monthly “Mayor’s Night Out” town hall meeting on Wednesday, April 19.

The event will be held at Chester Street Resource Center. 

Mayor Sawicki will be available to discuss city issues with citizens from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The public is invited to stop by and share their thoughts and ideas with the mayor.

City enacts burn ban, going to one-day watering schedule Apr. 21

The City of Cape Coral has issued a burn ban for Cape Coral and has declared a Notice of Emergency – Stage I Water Shortage. 

The burn ban is effective immediately, while the one-day mandatory watering restrictions will go into effect Friday, April 21. 

The emergency water shortage declaration is the next stage of the City’s Emergency Water Conservation Plan, and requires mandatory one-day watering for all Cape Coral residents and businesses.
