After stormy weather had kept many area high school football teams off the field last week, the 2016 High School Football season got underway this past Friday around Southwest Florida.
Unfortunately, it was another rainy affair with some teams forced to postpone their games until Saturday morning, and Island Coast High School cancelling their game against Fort Lauderdale all together.
Despite the delay, all of the Cape Coral teams were able to get their games in and kick off the 2016 season.
