Whether it's finding events for the family or a night out with friends, here you will find details on a few of the events taking place in Cape Coral over the weekend in a quick and simple format.

Below are five events taking place across Cape Coral this weekend.


South Cape Craft Beer Trolley Event (Saturday)

South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Associations (SCHEA) introduces the latest in trolley fun with the South Cape Craft Beer Trolley Event on Saturday, April 29.

Attendees will board the exclusive trolleys to visit 12 locations in the Entertainment District. At each, they'll sample a craft beer and appetizer.

At the event, SCHEA will also introduce a new, unique grand prize, a 24-hour pass for two to stay and play in South Cape.

To enter the grand prize drawing, attendees have to get their passports stamped at all 12 locations. No additional purchase is necessary.

Attendees can also win cool prizes while answering fun trivia questions on the trolleys. Prizes include trinkets and swag from area businesses, as well as gift cards to participating locations.

Tickets for the event are $20 in advance and are available online at Eventbrite and participating locations. Designated Driver tickets cost $15 and are available in advance at BackStreets Sports Bar. Designated Drivers can receive a non-alcoholic beverage at participating locations. Should any tickets remain on the day of the event, the cost will be $25.

The South Cape Craft Beer Trolley Event will take place this Saturday, April 29 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.

Check-in booths will be open from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Booths are located at Club Square (near center square) and Big John Plaza (near Pinch-a-Penny).

The Glass Menagerie at Cultural Park Theater (Thursday-Sunday)

This Tennessee Williams masterpiece revolves around Amanda Wingfield and her two children. Amanda strives to give meaning and direction to the lives of both her and her children, though her methods are ineffective and irritating. A drama of great tenderness, charm, and beauty, The Glass Menagerie is one of the most famous plays of the modern theatre.

Performances are scheduled for this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday matinee shows at 3:00pm.

Ticket prices are $19 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $13 for students with valid ID.

Cultural Park Theatre is located at 528 Cultural Park Blvd.

An Evening Under the Sea at the Cape Coral Yacht Club (Friday)

This Friday, the Cape Coral Yacht Club Ballroom will be transformed into an underwater paradise full of hands-on learning, touch tanks, crafts, games, a Calypso steel drum band, puppets, and surprises.

Local environmental groups will show you all the wonders beneath the sea and provide you with information while you explore all our waters have to offer. Then sit back and enjoy an original puppet show performed by local students who take you under the sea in a new way, just watch out for the sharks.

The cost to attend is $5 per person (children under two years of age is admitted free).

An Evening Under the Sea will take place this Friday, April 28 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Cape Coral Yacht Club, located at 5819 Driftwood Pkwy. For more information, call (239) 574-0806.


Anthony's Spring Music Fest (Saturday)

Anthony's on the Blvd. will host their Spring Music Fest this Saturday.

Enjoy a day and evening of great food and music.

The festival entertainment will feature a number of live bands, headlined by ZZ Top tribute band Trezz Hombres.

In addition to the great music, there will be Anthony's famous pig roast, as well as other food and drinks available throughout the festival.

Downtown Farmers Market (Saturday)

For the 23rd year, the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral hosts the Downtown Farmers’ Market every Saturday through April in the South Cape.

Held in Club Square, the farmers’ market boasts the finest, fresh, local produce and seafood.

In addition to produce and seafood, the farmers’ market also offers a variety of fresh baked breads and pastries, pickles, and olive mixes, Certified Organic produce, hydroponically grown greens, sprouts, cheeses, native plants and trees, homemade jellies and jams, organic pet treats, made-on-site guacamole, and salsas.

Showing it is not just about the food, the farmers’ market also hosts a wide range of vendors displaying such products as; art pieces, hand-made jewelry, and antiques and collectibles.

To help create a festive atmosphere, there is also live music in two separate locations at the market.

The farmers’ market is open Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm in Club Square located south of SE 46th Lane, north of SE 47th Terrace, and intersected by SE 10th Place.
