Below are five events taking place across Cape Coral this weekend.


Taste of the Cape/Symphony at Sunset 2017 (Sunday)

Join the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral and the Gulf Coast Symphony for an afternoon of great taste.

This expanded community event celebrates both culinary arts and music. Sample an international array of great food from more than 20 local restaurants, plus a wide variety of craft beers, margaritas, and wine.

Enjoy musical performances throughout the day culminating with another sensational Symphony at Sunset, when the Gulf Coast Symphony plays a selection of Patriotic favorites in a beautiful Southwest Florida setting.

The 2017 Taste of the Cape/Symphony at Sunset takes place this Sunday, February 26 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Four Freedoms Park, located at 4818 Tarpon Ct. Admission is free.

Burrowing Owl Festival 2017 (Saturday)

Come out and celebrate Cape Coral's official bird, the Burrowing Owl at the annual Cape Coral Burrowing Owl Festival.

Cape Coral is home to the largest known population of the Florida Burrowing Owl, which is a species that recently received the designation of "threatened." These pint-sized birds burrow underground where they nest from late February through July.

Hosted by the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife, this fun-filled family event celebrates the start of the burrowing owl nesting season and all Cape Coral’s natural wildlife treasures. This is a fun day of entertaining and education programs, hands-on activities for children, guided nature walks, butterfly house tours and more.

The festival will be held this Saturday, February 25 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Rotary Park located at 5515 Rose Garden Rd.

There is a $5 requested donation for adults and children under 16 are free.

South Cape Mardi Gras Trolley Event 2017 (Saturday)

The South Cape Hospitality and Entertainment Associations (SCHEA) will host their annual South Cape Mardi Gras Trolley Event from 7:00pm to 11:00pm Saturday, February 25.

Enjoy the many nightlife establishments that call South Cape home with exclusive drink specials, food items, and an opportunity to win prizes.

Pick your “Passport” at any of the participating establishments. Take the passport, have it stamped at each location, and turn it in at the end of the night to be eligible to win prizes.

Dixie Roadhouse Line Dance Workshop (Saturday)

Join Dixie Roadhouse for their Half-Day Line Dance Workshop.

The popular nightclub has rounded up the best instructors for this half-day event.

From beginners to advanced, learn it all, even if you've never line danced before.

All ages welcome, make it a family day. This event is non-smoking.

Doors open at 12:30pm. Instruction starts at 1:00pm.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Ticket price includes free entry into Dixie Roadhouse all weekend so that you can practice more, and two free drinks.

Space is limited by the dance floor size and the Line Dance Workshops always sell out, so get your tickets if you are planning to come.

Cape Coral Charity Car Show (Saturday)

Over 200 classics, antiques, street rods, race cars, 50'S & 60'S music, food, vendors and more.

This event is not a cruise in but a full-blown car show.

All vehicles at the show are eligible for judging and trophies. This is great family fun with a terrific atmosphere created by the waterfront Jaycee Park. Is Not A Cruise In, It Is A Full Blown CAR SHOW!  All Vehicles Eligible For Judging And Trophies. 

Enjoy a day of great music, food, exhibitors, and lots and lots of beautiful cars at this great family friendly event.

The Cape Coral Charity Car Show will take place this Saturday, February 25 from 10:00am to  4:00pm at Jaycee Park, located at 4125 SE 20th Place.

Admission is free. There is a $5 parking donation. Pets are welcome.
