Southwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association

For the last 25 years, the Southwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association has been serving residents in Southwest Cape Coral in a multitude of capacities.

The SWCCNA was created in 1987 as an association of waterfront homeowners in Southwest Cape Coral to fight the then Chiquita Lock restrictions that included charging boats for passage through the lock. Due to the association’s determination, charges for going through the lock were lifted.

Since that time the SWCCNA has been heavily involved in activities and issues that affect residents of Southwest Cape Coral including; public safety, environmental issues, public health, electing local political leaders, and much more. Currently, the association is heavily involved in trying to bring more bicycle lanes to the southwest area of Cape Coral.

The association currently has close to 100 members. Membership is open to anyone in Cape Coral who has a Southwest address. Cost to join the association is only $20 per year, the same price it was when the association was formed nearly 25 years ago.

The SWCCNA holds their monthly meetings the second Wednesday of each month (with the exception of July, August, and December) at Oasis Elementary Charter School located at 3415 Oasis Boulevard. Meetings begin at 7pm. Each month meetings are highlighted by guest speakers that are involved in topical subjects of the time.
