First Bike Night of 2013 roars into Cape Coral this weekend
Bike Night is held four times a year with an estimated 15,000 people attending each event.
Bike night returns to Cape Coral this weekend.
The first Cape Coral Bike Night of 2013 will take place in the South Cape this Saturday evening.
The Bike Night events have become a destination for thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts, music lovers, and people just looking to have a good time.
Hosted by the City of Cape Coral, the Bike Nights are held four times a year, and features live music on two stages, over 50 vendors, activities and games, and of course, thousands of motorcycles.
Four times a year an estimated 15,000 people come out and stroll SE 47th Terrace taking in the sights and sounds of the event. While many come on bike, many come to this family friendly event to look at the variety of motorcycles that are on display throughout the event.
For the first Bike Night of 2013, organizers have pulled out all the stops. Saturday’s event will feature live music from local country band Blackwater on the Dixie Roadhouse stage. On the main stage, Ground Zero will be the headline act.
The stage will also feature the reunion of Liquor Box. The band is using the event to kick off their reunion tour.
Dixie Roadhouse will once again hold its popular “Sexy Bull Riding” contest in front of the nightclub. The competition is free and open to all those interested in participating.
The Slow Bike Race is also scheduled to take place during the event. In a twist to your typical drag race, riders compete to see who will take the longest to get to the finish line. The race has become a popular attraction for the event with people lining the course cheering on their favorite riders.
This Saturday’s event will take place between 5:00pm and 10:00pm on SE 47th Terrace near Vincennes Boulevard. Admission is free. For more information about Cape Coral Bike Night, call (239) 573-3123 or visit www.ccbikenight.com.
