Easter Seals Florida, Inc.

Easter Seals Florida, serving 40 counties in the State of Florida for the last 60 years, and affiliate of Easter Seals International, is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Its southwest division, headquartered in Fort Myers, Florida, serves the five counties of Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades. Easter Seals Florida’s mission is to “provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities and/or special needs (and their families) have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, play and serve in their communities. Services currently offered in Lee County include:

• Speech Language Pathology (Speech Therapy)
• Occupational Therapy
• Clinical Massage Therapy

We serve clients from infancy through all stages of adulthood with long-term, chronic conditions. We accept most major health insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare. In special situations, we can provide scholarships for treatment when the family and/or individual is not insured, under-insured and economically disadvantaged.

In the future, we will be expanding our services to meet the current and emerging needs of individuals with disabilities and special needs in the five county area.

Our local advisory board is comprised of community leaders, stakeholders, parents and concerned citizens.
