Cape Coral Construction Industry Assoc. celebrates 45th anniversary

It was a night of remembrance and reflection as the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association (CCCIA) celebrated its 45th anniversary during their monthly meeting Thursday evening.

The organization brought together members past and present, as well as local and state dignitaries to mark the milestone occasion.

The festivities kicked off with former CCCIA President Robert Greco sharing stories of the CCCIA's early years that began in 1971 with their first meeting held at the VFW Post in the South Cape.

Merged Realtor boards now known as Royal Palm Coast Realtor Assoc.

The National Association of Realtors® has approved the new name for the recently merged Cape Coral Association of Realtors® and the Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach.

The new name, Royal Palm Coast Realtor® Association, was inspired by the beautiful royal palm trees and their rich history dating back to the early 1900s when they were brought here by Thomas Edison.

'Jet Live Events' launches in Cape Coral

Partners in Dixie Roadhouse, Cadillac Jack's, and Jet Sound have teamed up to create a new live event production company known as "Jet Live Events".

The new business will provide sound, lights, staging, and video equipment as well as DJ's, MC's, and technicians for concerts, festivals, weddings, business meetings, and other events all around Southwest Florida.

D.R. Horton set to purchase 'Golf Club' property

One of the largest homebuilders in the United States is lining up its ducks for a shot at developing Cape Coral’s troubled property known as The Golf Club.

D.R. Horton officials visited City Manager John Szerlag on Friday, March 11, and told him they are the contract purchaser for the 175-acre site at 4003 Palm Tree Blvd. They also told him they hope to build single-family homes.
