Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute graduates 50th class

Fourteen aspiring small business owners are now one step closer to success after graduating from the Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise Institute in Cape Coral on May 26.  

The ceremony took place at the City of Cape Coral’s Public Works Building. The graduation was the 50th in the brief history of the program, which started in 2010.

South Cape hair salon, Shear Art Hair Studio is celebrating its third anniversary on June 1. 

The shabby chic hair salon, owned by Kelly Simes and Meghan Van Cour has seen much growth and success since opening its doors in 2013.

Cape Coral Construction Industry Assoc. celebrates 45th anniversary

It was a night of remembrance and reflection as the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association (CCCIA) celebrated its 45th anniversary during their monthly meeting Thursday evening.

The organization brought together members past and present, as well as local and state dignitaries to mark the milestone occasion.

The festivities kicked off with former CCCIA President Robert Greco sharing stories of the CCCIA's early years that began in 1971 with their first meeting held at the VFW Post in the South Cape.


Merged Realtor boards now known as Royal Palm Coast Realtor Assoc.

The National Association of Realtors® has approved the new name for the recently merged Cape Coral Association of Realtors® and the Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach.

The new name, Royal Palm Coast Realtor® Association, was inspired by the beautiful royal palm trees and their rich history dating back to the early 1900s when they were brought here by Thomas Edison.
