Cape Coral Community Foundation names new executive director

After a six-month national search, the Cape Coral Community Foundation (CCCF) has hired Michael Chatman as the new Executive Director. 

Chatman joins the foundation after working as the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy at the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. In that position, Chatman concentrated on building generosity throughout a network of 49 regional affiliate foundations in Missouri.

4am bar hours coming back for more discussions

It looks as though the city council will have another look at the recently ended extended weekend bar hours program.

During a special meeting held by the city council on Friday afternoon, city council member Richard Leon, who has spearheaded the extended bar hours program since its inception, gauged the interest in his fellow council members to bring forward a new ordinance that would allow bars in the South Cape to keep their doors open later during the weekends.
